Anyone else find it way easier to playing faster on thicker gauge strings vs thin?
I've played on both 40-95's and 45-105 so many hours depending on the bass, and the 105's make it easier for me to play faster and more accurate. Only bringing this up because I see on every forum how the benefit to lighter gauge strings it's much easier to play faster. The floppiness personally makes it harder for the most part.
I'm specifically talking about plucking and picking, slap is of course the opposite. I don't play aggressively, just a medium to light touch depending on context, but seems a bit counter intuitive.
As a side note, my timing feels a lot better due to the stiffness of the string
