Looking for a book with a female lead and a melancholy tone

More specifically books that feel like the movies Petite Maman, Housekeeping, The Florida Project or Aftersun. And the song 'forwards beckon rebound' by Adrianne Lenker.

Something wistful and sad, but still imaginative and daydreaming. Preferably nothing 'spicy' whatsoever.

Fantasy is welcome and drama is extra welcome.

The closest I've found is Anne of Green Gables, if that's anything to go by. :)
