XV3 looks more like a reboot than a continuation of the Xenoverse series

can’t help but feel like they should’ve just called it something else that isn’t XV3. i still think it looks like a xenoverse game don’t get me wrong, but based off the information we have so far about the mechanics and how the game works its looking more like a refresh, rather than building off of what XV2 had. going from Xenoverse 1 to 2 felt more like a natural progression, adding on new things rather than simplifying core aspects of the game. this made XV2 just feel like a “better” XV1, whereas this new game seems like it’s going for a much bigger overhaul of the combat system for introducing new players/balancing purposes. in my head it feels like they should’ve went with a title like “Xenoverse ages” or damn near just “Dragon Ball Xenoverse” to signify this new direction they are going in. but they ended up just calling it Xenoverse 3 for the fans and marketing purposes
