can’t post to mildlyinfuriating bc of my karma levels so i’m just gonna post to profile,,, 

i was getting carpet replaced in my whole entire upstairs area in my home, and of course me and my family had to move most furniture and decorations out of our carpeted rooms so the people who came wouldn’t have to struggle to move everything aside. 

i have a really nice monitor that i’ve used for maybe 3 years now (aopen, 240hz, 4k res, etc) and it’s served me rlly well for the time that i’ve had it. i took it off my desk and CAREFULLY stacked it on top of my pc tower in our hall bathroom just so it wouldn’t fall over. i had it against the wall and everything just so there was no way it could get bumped into and knocked over. 

the people text my mom telling her that my mini fridge started leaking everywhere somehow so they put it in the hall bathroom! i wasn’t thinking much about it at first until i got back home and finally started plugging my stuff back in. monitor turns on and there’s a white line right across the corner of the screen. i’m already annoyed because how did this even happen?? whatever, so i continued to move more things back into my bedroom. 10 minutes later i go to plug my pc speaker in and the screen lights up again - 1/6th of the screen is now black and is now, in fact, even further gone than i anticipated. 

i don’t know how my monitor could manage to break even more when i wasn’t paying attention, but safe to say i’m super pissed now and am actively looking for a budget safe monitor to get that can easily replace this one when the time comes. i’m going into college and i’m trying to keep a significant amount of savings so it’s a good chunk of my money that i’d have to spend to invest in a new monitor that *isn’t* broken like this. pictures will be attached of the rapidly declining state of my monitor  😭
