After I successfully repaired a Maruman D-11, [https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1ug3rqz/maruman\_halley\_l\_dl11/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1ug3rqz/maruman_halley_l_dl11/), I got confident in repairing some butane lighters. I had mixed results, but I have now at least two usable 1000 Zünder out of it. Then I saw this post [https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1uqn7e0/why\_did\_they\_discontinue\_this\_cool\_feature/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1uqn7e0/why_did_they_discontinue_this_cool_feature/), and thought, why the hell don't I just fix some ST. Duponts. I've got so many and I know, how to disassemble them. At the time I had three in working order including my rat rod Ligne 1, which manifested my love for ST. Dupont lighters [https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1riacv4/my\_rat\_rod\_ligne\_1\_or\_my\_shittiest\_st\_dupont\_is/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lighters/comments/1riacv4/my_rat_rod_ligne_1_or_my_shittiest_st_dupont_is/), which is fine for a lighter collection, but I had way more broken Duponts, which is kinda sad.

So I went literally in a binge repair of Duponts. I fixed one every day. For the last one I basically searched for the last usable parts to build a mongrel (bottom right).

Now I have seven working Duponts, all Ligne 1 BS and BR. That's way better then three 🙂. However, the second Pic shows the non working, and parts lighters 😐. I still have some parts, but it's just not enough to to build another one. I could fix the first small in the second Pic, but I'd need a tool for the filler valve. In the bottom row are some with usable parts, locked to the body by fubared screws. So I'd have to use drastic measures to get to the parts 😒.

But still, not bad after a week.

My ST. Duponts, I had a good run, this week
