Whats the point of bookmarks now?

Bookmarks used to be how i would get all my clips. I record the full session, bookmark funny/interesting moments, then would go and edit their lengths. Now it shows the bookmarks in the preview but cant edit them out of the full session and when you open the session in the editor theyre completely gone.

This change has made the app unusable, because now the few minute process it was has been doubled if not tripled because of having to edit the entire timeline clip by clip and not being able to do that in the editor just doesnt make any sense to me
