2016 CR-V SE, No Crank after rodent chewed through MAF wiring
This morning my wife went out to start her car, and everything would come on but the starter wouldn't crank; only hear a couple relays clicking. Opened the hood and found the 5 wires going to thr MAF sensor had been chewed in half, and were all mangled together.
Spliced wires back together, still wouldn't start. Replaced MAF sensor, still no start. All fuses and relays under the hood and under the driver's side dash are good. Shifting to neutral doesn't help. Start Cut relay is getting power and ground when the start button is pushed. Tried jumping the NO contacts in the cut relays socket, no joy.
If we jump the (+) battery terminal to the starter solenoid. It cranks. If we have the car "on" and jump the solenoid to the (+) terminal it will start and run, but all out dash amber warning and check engine lights are on. Lights include: Start system, electronic power steering, TPMS, traction control, and AWD.
I'm worried that the mangled MAF wiring caused a short or some other damage to the ECU. We have full coverage insurance, so i think were about to get it towed to shop for them to look at on Monday, but I figured I'd put this out there to see if anyone has any ideas that we haven't thought of! Thanks!
