Gigabyte MO32U24 can’t reach max refresh rate

Hello all, I have an issue where it seems I can’t turn on the max refresh rate of 240hz when using HDR.

For context:

I have a lenovo thinkcentre neo with the new ryzen ai chips (and integrated radeon graphics). I also have a console which I use for gaming, but that works flawlessly.

The PC has a DP 1.4a port, and the monitor a DP 1.4 HBR3 port. And I’m using a hbr3 dp 2.1 cable. So on paper it should work with DSC on.

Now when I use it in sdr, I can run it at 4k 240hz without issues, but when I turn HDR on in the windows 11 display settings, it automatically switches the refresh rate to 165hz. When I then go and manually select 240hz again, as it shows it available, it turns off hdr and switches back to sdr.

Could anybody explain why that is, or what the issue may be? Because I can’t seem to find the reason
