[30M] Got into two brief relationships off Hinge. Dumped for the same reasons as before.

As per the link above, my issue was never getting past 3-4 dates, before getting told there was no romantic spark or connection.

Things evolved since then in a way, I suppose. Last autumn, I met someone [31F]. 4 dates turned to 5, 5 to 6 and so on. We dated for a little over 4 months, met each other’s friends, went on a weekend trip together, and were overall pretty steady until one day she abruptly ended it, citing the lack of romantic spark/connection.

Around two months later, I started dating someone new [29F]. We went on around 10 dates or so together over the course of two months. I had introduced her to my brother and some friends. We were exclusive. I was absolutely crazy about her. Until one day, she abruptly ended it. Same reason.

I’m trying to make sense of it all, and I can’t figure out anything that substantively went wrong. No disagreements. No clear incompatibilities. I can honestly say I showed up and was present. In both cases, I got dumped out of nowhere. The day before I got dumped in both cases, we were talking about future plans we were making together.

I’ve been trying to date for six or so years, and I’m really feeling like this is just paddling against the current at this point. If i repeatedly get rejected for the same reason, and it’s nothing I can change or look out for does it not feel does it not feel like this is an exercise in futility? I’m highly skeptical that I’ll just meet someone else and it’ll be different. Feels a little like the definition of insanity.
