[2013 BMW] Suspension clanking on rougher roads after replacing Coilover and Piston assembly

Diagnosing/Repair

So recently I replaced the coilover+piston assemblies on the front of my car, after a week and a half I started to notice a louder sound when my passenger suspension was being compressed. I took it to a repair shop and they said it was a bad control arm. I replaced it and the noise was still happening.

I’m in the middle of taking out the coilover+piston assembly when I noticed a scuff on the bottom of the sway bar. If the sway bar is bottoming out, would that be causing the noise, and would the fix be to adjust the assembly to make it longer?

I bought both assemblies for the front at the same time, the clanking only happened on one side, and it happened a bit after I replaced it so I thought it was just bad timing.
