Major technical glitch in NU Test (Scrambled answers & PC switching) – Is FAST administration ignoring anyone else?
Hey everyone,
I’m posting this because I saw another thread here discussing technical issues during the NU entry test, and I noticed a lot of people in the comments faced the exact same thing. I want to share my experience and see if anyone has successfully gotten a response or a re-take from the administration.
During my test, my mouse completely malfunctioned in the Basic Maths section (clicking random options on its own). The invigilator tried fixing it, wasted precious minutes, and eventually told me to change my PC entirely.
When I logged into the new PC, a total disaster happened: all the answers I had already solved and marked in the Advanced Maths section got completely scrambled and shifted to different question numbers.
I emailed the Academics Manager directly about this, and even management gave me a totally dismissive reply. They basically told me:
- "Our invigilators were there to support you, you should have reported it." (I did report it, and the invigilator was the one who physically moved me to a new PC!).
- "No invigilator reported such an issue." (So they are blaming me because their own staff failed to log the incident).
- "Each time your session locked, your time started from the beginning, so you got sufficient time."
Their logic makes no sense. Even if the timer reset, how does "extra time" fix the fact that the system shifted and messed up my previously saved answers? I had to waste time re-solving things, and I ended up with a terribly low score because of a broken system UI.
Since so many of us in the comments are facing the exact same hardware/software glitches, we need to do something.
- Has anyone else received this exact copy-paste reply from them?
- Should we visit the campus together to launch a collective complaint?
Please let me know if you are in the same boat. The administration cannot just gaslight us and ruin our aggregate because of their buggy testing software.
