Screening for low MCAT!!!

I just heard from my friend who does admissions at his medical school that many schools including his completely screen out applicants with low MCAT scores (sub 505). Is this true??? How low do they screen out?

He said if your not in there 25th percentile don't even bother applying because anyone that gets in that's under a 25th percentile is either a Rhodes scholar or has a nature pub.... wtf
