Why didn't Rose she her mother on the lifeboats after she was rescued?

Surely Ruth DeWitt Bukater and Rose must have seen each other again on the lifeboats, she could easily see her mother onboard of The Carpathia and hug her goodbye before leaving forever, why didn't Rose at least attempt to see her mother?
