Not just that it was reef-safe (which was the primary reason they brought it) but also just... everything else about it.

I've always been kind of weird about textures on my skin, and for some reason this stuff was just perfect. Just enough white-cast so that I'd notice when it faded *(useful for knowing when to reapply)*, but not so much that I looked ghoulish. Greasy enough that it spread \*very\* easily, but with moderate rubbing-in the greasiness would disappear and it would soak in almost like a moisturizer. A little bit of tackiness at first, which is normal for water-resistant sunscreens, but then in 5-10 minutes it would disappear. And the smell was lovely: Not too chemical-y, not too perfume-y, very subtle and comforting.

I bought a bunch of bottles at the time. But many years later, they've finally run out. 

The company apparently rebranded from "Mexitan" to "Coral Safe" and has a new line of products, but the new products don't have the same ingredients and are much *more* expensive for much *less* product. The pictured bottle of their old product was 8oz. The *largest* bottle of their new stuff is $25 for *3oz*. 

**Can anyone who's familiar with this product from back in the day, recommend a modern sunscreen that behaves similarly? I'm mainly concerned with having similar coverage/texture/appearance/protection/etc.** But something that has those attributes and is *also* reef-friendly would be a bonus!

Can anyone familiar with the "Mexitan" product from 10+ years ago recommend a modern sunscreen with similar attributes? Not just reef-safety, but also similar texture, grease-level, level of white-casting, etc? The company still exists & renamed to "Coral Safe," but uses different formulations now.
