Equipment order in DE

Does the order of equipment auto-adjust to when their original order in the shop? I'm trying to order the equipment in the order in which they were intended to be unlocked. If this isn't the case, is there a list of the intended order, and is it possible to change the order of equipment by downgrading their level in Users.xml, and then upgrading them again in the desired order?
