Do you actually check licenses and compliance info when choosing an exchange?

When I used to choose an exchange, I mostly looked at three things: Are the fees low? Are there enough coins listed? Is trading smooth?

But recently, I’ve noticed more and more platforms emphasizing compliance qualifications, reserve mechanisms, security audits, and multi-region regulatory adaptation.

I’ve also seen exchanges like EORMC highlight global compliance and third-party security audits as major selling points. The question is: do these things actually matter to real users?

What real value do you think compliance and licenses bring?
Does the platform become more stable for long-term operation?
Is fund movement better protected?
Are asset security and reserve transparency more trustworthy?
Are institutional users more willing to enter?
Are risk-control or account issues handled in a more standardized way?
Or do most regular users still care more about fees, liquidity, and trading speed?

I’d like to hear from long-term traders. Would you be more willing to use an exchange long term because it has a clearer compliance setup?
