Need help in automating content upload and management for a short-video OTT app
I am looking for advice on automating a content management for a small project.
Context: I recently launched a short-form vertical video app (think like DramaBox). My app is in its early stage. Very small audience (invite only). I built it with a lot of help from Claude Code and a couple of developer friends.
They set up the frontend on AWS and content layer on Muvi as the CMS. Before we were using Vimeo OTT fully. Now Muvi hosts, stores, and manages my video content. It also exposes a REST API via Muvi's developer's platform that I use to pull content into my own app.
Let me tell you why I am stuck now. As I mentioned we previously used Vimeo OTT and automated content complete content pipeline, and it worked well. But the person who built that automation was one of my tech partners. He is not part of a formal team, and he is no longer available to help.
Since we switched to Muvi, I honestly don't know exactly how the old Vimeo automation was done. I am not a core developer myself. I am more of a vibe code guy, understands the architecture but can't build all of it solo.
So right now, we manually upload and manage content on Muvi. Like new episodes, metadata, publishing, and more, I don't even an idea.
Has anyone automated a similar pipeline with any OTT platform? If you can help please don't hesitate approach.
Should we go with custom script or any no code tools like n8n or Make?
Appreciate any pointers 🙏
