Why do humans need to eat 3 times a day?

I'm so tired of having to come home and cook. Like... why do humans need food THREE times a day? I just feel like life would be so much easier if we had no need to eat, or at least not 3 times. I just know finances would look better and it really sounds like a dream not having to cook.
