Bud rot after dey

Hey everyone, I noticed bud rot on my 2 Durban poison plants so I chopped them early and dried them but still noticed some mold and bud rot on them in my closet as they’re drying, I planned on trimming them today but should I just throw them both out completely and not even risk it? Thank you for any and all advice given
