I built a dating app because I was tired of being a great texter who never actually went on dates.

I've spent more cumulative hours on dating apps than I want to admit. I got genuinely good at the opening message, the banter, keeping momentum alive. And almost none of it led anywhere. Not because I was being ghosted (well, sometimes), but because the apps themselves aren't really built to help you meet someone. They're built to keep you on the app.

The swiping is infinite. The matching feels rewarding even when nothing comes from it. The whole thing is designed to feel like progress when it isn't.

So I built something different. It's called Let's Grab Coffee. The whole premise is simple: meet someone nearby, actually meet them. The app is oriented around proximity and real dates — not pen pals, not situationships that live entirely on your phone. Free to use (10 likes/day to start), with a Pro tier for unlimited.

It's early. I'm genuinely not sure how it'll land. But I built it because I wanted an app that treated the goal — an actual connection with an actual person — as the point, not a side effect.

If you're also tired of being good at dating apps but bad at dating, maybe give it a look.
