Season 5 rank inflation?

After my 10 placement matches I was put in around 16k elo and thought okay great, now I will have decently good teammates! But from the matches I have now played, I have gotten teammates who don't know callouts, simple utility, aim, and even worse: positioning. They will literally leave a whole site open and just group in the same spots every round causing me to have to hold 10 angles at once.

Maybe this is because they havent gotten their rank yet and the system tries placing them in higher elo lobbys to test their limits, or the ranks are just inflated right now? I don't blame them for this at all, I just try to find out why this is 🤣
