Orbit 2026
Hi guys,
I currently have a 8m and a 9m slingshot code v2.
Rest of my quiver is:
- slingshot machine v1 7m
- North reach 12m (which I don't really enjoy)
- Flysurfer sonic 4 15m
I share the quiver with my gf who is lighter then me.
I'm thinking about selling my 9m slingshot code V2 and get a orbit 2026 and then the 10m version.
I'm an ok amateur rider. Jumping and landing 5 meter jumps consistently and landing them with downloops/heliloops and doing backrolls and learning other tricks.
I want to practice jumping higher with more hangtime, board offs and powered kiteloops.
I want something with more low-end (so from 9m to 10m) but also better high end then my code v2 9m, I don't mind being overpowered and actually liking it, but with my code v2 in gusty conditions it is not super stable. The charts say that a 10m orbit 2026 has 12 kts up to 29 kts range which is huge (and Im not sure is true ;)). Currently, the gap between the 8m and the 9m is just too short, so I want a 10m that performs well in all conditions. Now I know that the orbit 2026 is made of lighter material so has better low end. I also want to start powered kite loops, is the 10m orbit 2026 too big for practicing this?
Am I wasting my money selling my slingshot code V2 9m and buying a 10m orbit 2026 instead..?
