Ti vs. Fi: The Neighbor Dynamic
This might be an eye-opener for someone who doesn't know the theory well, especially if you don't know cognitive functions and only practically know the face-value archetype of MBTI. Then I'll rant for a moment.
It genuinely baffles me how some Ti think their reasoning is completely objective. They run on Ti, which is literally a subjective internal system of reasoning, yet they act like they are the ultimate voice of objective truth. Real objectivity belongs to Te. Instead of recognizing that, ego-tripping Tis love to talk down to Fi users. They completely miss the irony that Ti and Fi are practically neighbors, both are just subjective internal judging tools. One is simply focused on internal reasoning consistency (true/false) on a situation while the other is focused on internal personal alignment (good/bad) on a situation.
In fact, I don't see these functions as enemies at all just different alignments. Sometimes, Fi-doms (infp & isfp) are actually more objectively right because the Fi-Te axis functions complement each other and this balance makes them a lot more rational than certain "analytical" types.
It’s wild watching someone with primary Ti and aux in them and get trapped in their own flawed Ti delusions, especially when their ego is so massive that they mistake their own mental map for universal facts.
To be clear, I’m not saying one function is good and the other is bad. It’s purely the hypocrisy that gets to me when you look at how these functions actually operate.
