TCS Ninja Interview Experience 2026 – Technical + HR Round (Python, REST API, DBMS, Projects)
I attended my TCS Ninja interview today. Sharing the questions I was asked in case it helps others preparing.
Technical Round:
Tell me about yourself.
Explain your academic/project work.
Asked follow-up questions to clarify my project implementation.
What is a REST API?
Have you used Postman?
What is the PUT method in Postman?
How do you verify whether an API request is successful in Postman?
I answered using HTTP status codes (200, 400, 500 series).
Write a Python program to connect two database tables.
I couldn't fully recall the syntax, but I explained that I would use Python SQL libraries, establish a database connection, and execute SQL queries.
What are the constraints in DBMS?
Can a table have two primary keys?
I explained that a table can have a composite primary key (made up of multiple columns), but only one primary key constraint exists.
What is Figma, and how have you used it?
HR Round:
Do you have any current backlogs?
Where are you from?
Since you're based near Chennai, are you comfortable with work location and night shifts?
Why do you want to join TCS?
Overall, the interview was friendly and mostly based on my resume, projects, REST APIs, DBMS fundamentals, and a few HR questions. They also asked one coding-related question, but it was more about my approach than writing perfect syntax.
Hope this helps anyone preparing for TCS Ninja. If you've attended recently, feel free to share what questions you were asked as well. Good luck to everyone!
