I’ve lost both my parents and both of my brothers. I’m the youngest sibling and the only girl. I don’t even know how to ask what I need to know. I lost my dad in 2014, my oldest brother in 2022 (he was 48), my middle brother March of 2025 (he also died at 48) and my mom this March. I’m 38 and I inherited our family homestead where my dad was born and where both my brothers died. One passed in his sleep and the other was self inflicted. I got to my oldest brother before the ambulance and didn’t find a pulse and he had been gone too long for life saving measures. The other took his life in front of me.

My father was Mvskoke and we all enjoyed living off the land, honoring the land, and teaching the primitive arts. Recently I’ve been having an uncontrollable sense of dread when I’m walking my property to check my gardens and just keeping an eye on my family’s cabins. My eyes well up and the hair on the back of my neck stands on ends. My dad’s land is in the middle of his siblings’ and is his family’s homestead. We do have Native American burial and council mounds that are just slightly south east of my parents cabin. We collectively have protected them for generations. The other evening as it was getting dark I was fishing in our pond after working in the garden and I saw two men in the trees across the pond. It made my blood run cold. I yelled to them to see who they were and what they wanted but they just stood there. I couldn’t make their faces out. I looked away long enough to grab my pistol from my bag and they were gone. I instantly felt sick to my stomach. I have never sensed anything bad anywhere on my family land. NEVER. Quite the opposite. I’ve always felt protected by those who walked before me. My cousin and I were there late last week and she stopped dead in her tracks and she had fear in her face and told me she didn’t feel right that someone was watching us. She didn’t know about my fishing story. She grew up in those woods with me and like me it’s always been our safe place. I guess what I would like to know is my family trying to warn me of something? Are they there with me? We were always a close tight nit family and I’ve never felt so alone before. I use to be able to feel my dad’s presence as well as my older brother through the trees and it brought me comfort but it’s like something heavy and “dark” is overshadowing them now. I’m even having night terrors. Sorry for the long story but I am feeling lost and like something else bad is gonna happen. Here are some pictures of all of them doing what they love and one of my daddy’s hands hugging me when I was little. Can anyone sense anything about any of them?
