YISS KLI Korean 1 Advice/help

Hello everyone! I am currently attending Yonsei University’s YISS program. I am in KLI level one. I’m wondering if anyone has any resources or advice on how to do well in the class, and actually do well.

English is my first language, and this is my first time learning Korean (my prof only speaks in Korean-sometimes I understand and sometimes I don’t). The class is pretty fasted paced, and I want to understand what my teacher is saying. I’m a bit of a slower language learner (more about that below). I get stressed out because my classmates understand what’s going on all the time. After class, I’m able to get a better understanding of what’s going on by reviewing the material.

I want to be able to speak Korean and read it. The Yonsei textbook is helpful for reading practice, but not for learning much vocab. I get stressed out because my classmates understand what’s going on all the time. I learned Chinese at my home university, and I forgot all of it once class was over. My university is a very stressful environment which didn’t help. I’m taking 3 classes at Yonsei (2 very easy and then Korean). This is the only class that I need to focus on.

Thx in advance (sorry for the long post)
