Non EU spouse
Hi everyone, my wife and I are planning to move to the Netherlands and would appreciate some advice. My wife is Polish (EU citizen) and I am Belizean (non-EU), and we are legally married. I’m currently in the UK on a temporary visa that ends in January 2027, so we are trying to prepare properly. Our plan is to contact Dutch recruitment agencies that hire international workers, especially in logistics/warehouse jobs, and ideally find an agency that can hire us as a couple and provide accommodation. Once we have work and housing arranged, I would apply for the EU family member facilitation visa so we can travel together, then settle and apply for my residence card as her spouse. I have warehouse, production, cleaning and forklift experience. Is this plan realistic? Do agencies in the Netherlands hire couples and provide registration-friendly accommodation? Would you recommend this approach or is it better for my wife to move first and me join later? Any tips, advice, or things we should know before making the move would be greatly appreciated.
