What are tips on making a gameplan for your army, list, and mission?

40k Tactica

I get the basics but I’d like to expand on my planning in a game. Usually I deploy counter to my opponent, save tank killers for last, and prep for my expansion. I have general ideas based on the matchup but I’d like more detailed advice. Let’s say I use this style of list

Tourney list [Orks] - (1995 points)
Detachments: Green Tide, Taktikal Brigade

Big Mek Dakkarig (100 points)
Big Mek Dakkarig (100 points)
Bigboss (70 points)

Ghazghkull Thraka (235 points)

Kommandos (120 points)
Painboy (100 points)
Painboy (80 points)
Stormboyz (65 points)
Warbikers (60 points)
Warboss (75 points)
Warboss (85 points)
Weirdboy (65 points)

Boys

This detachment and list id go take and hold. My initial plan is to have 2 bricks prepped for my expansion objective. Ideally stage ghaz’s brick where it can’t be shot and can run center round 2 (or maybe 3 depending on context). Kommandos deploy, 5 by expansion, extra 5 either to deny his infiltration or support elsewhere. Dakka rigs for firing lanes and supporting boys Remaining units for secondaries and cp gen.

Anything else? What other ideas would go into a list like this beyond checking opponent’s mission and working out best ways to deny it
