SRCC 2nd Year: Is CFA worth it if my end goal is an MBA?

General

I'm entering my 2nd year of B.Com (Hons.) at SRCC and recently received a scholarship for CFA Level I, so I'm planning to take the Feb 2027 attempt.

Long-term, I want to build a career in finance and pursue an MBA (preferably FMS, followed by the top IIMs).

My dilemma is whether CFA is the right investment of time during college, especially when I'll also be juggling:

- Maintaining a 9+ CGPA (currently ~8.3)

- Internships

- A college POR

- CAT '27 prep

- Placements

I genuinely enjoy finance, so CFA isn't just a CV point for me. But I also don't want to optimize for the wrong things.

Profile: General, Male | SRCC | 94% (10th) | 96% (12th) | No work ex.

If you were in my position, would you still pursue CFA alongside college, or prioritize CAT, CGPA and internships?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who've done CFA, an MBA, or both. Looking back, what would you have done?
