EMT Classes at Mission College

I'm looking to get my life together and finally start working on becoming an EMT, so I need some advice.

Mission College offers FPT 65, 65L, & 65C (all EMT related courses) needed for NREMT exam.

However once I completed those 3 classes in my first term, I have the option in the second term to go to FPT 200 which is Fire Academy.

Is it worth it to take that second term class just for the experience or should I just move on after the first three, take the NREMT (hope for the best) and then I'll find out what my next steps are?

Really could use some advice here.. thank you
