I have some questions about upgrading your weapons

Do you get more power if you have to play at +3 apocalypse but you play at +6 apocalypse?

Does killing more mobs give extra damage to the weapon you're upgrading?

Does beating longer and harder missions (with boss) instead of shorter and easier (secret missions) give more power?
