How I Manifested a Rainbow - At Night
I did.
tldr - Stop manifesting so hard, worrying about doing it "right," and obsessing - go through the process, just be, and most importantly, Let. It. Go.
I've been going through a lot personally the past couple of months and I am new to all of this. I've been experimenting with various methods, looking into crystals, etc. Really anything to keep me centered. But let's face it, if we're really being honest with ourselves, don't we do this to try to influence outcomes? To hurry the Universe up? To move the process along?
What trying to manifest has taught me - and going about it very skeptically and clumsily and having it work *despite all of this* - is to just let sh!t go. And trust. It's hard for me to do, and I bet it's hard for you as well, which is why I'm sharing this.
So yesterday (Sunday), after a perfectly great weekend with my friend, out of the blue I was overcome with this feeling of negativity, sadness, and hopelessness. Feeling like things would never get better, that I'm going to stay stuck in this pattern. It was overwhelming. It even started to pour outside. After the storm I saw the sun peeking out, so I though, ok, if this manifestation stuff is so real, how about a rainbow? That's not such a tall order. I want to see a rainbow.
I walk outside and check the front. No rainbow. I look out back, no rainbow, in fact, the dark clouds are gathering for Round 2 of storms. About two hours later, after I'd gone out for a bit and returned home and the storms were gone for good and the sun was really shining through the clouds, I looked EVERYWHERE. For sure I was going to see it now. I MANIFESTED it. Where was my rainbow? There I was, standing like a dumbass on my back deck, looking for it. No rainbow. In my negative mood, I thought, that figures. Manifesting works for everyone else but you. You suck at it. The things you want in life are not going to happen. You are getting everything wrong (don't we all do this to ourselves?). As I walked back inside the house, I released it. I let go of the rainbow. Just stopped thinking about it and went on with the rest of the day. After all, it was getting dark, so there was no chance of seeing one now.
The last thing I did before I fell asleep was to watch a video on YouTube about a topic related to the personal problems I've been having, to try to understand better. It was really interesting, and it made me feel better. As I was watching, what did I see but a rainbow. Not just that, but three rainbows. The video was mostly auditory, with imagery in the background. And three of the images contained rainbows.
There are close to 4 billion videos on YouTube currently. I would imagine most of them do not have rainbows in them (lol).
The lessons from my very limited and novice experiences are this - when you manifest, do it, but then you have to let it go and just move on. Stop trying so hard. Trust that what you have manifested is out there and working for you somewhere in the Universe. I posted something previously about the whisper method. Same thing. Out of frustration I gave up and let it go and that's precisely when it worked. When I just let it go and stopped focusing so much on it. I'm an imperfect person and I'm super impatient and I'll be the first to admit it. I'm far from some kind of spiritual guru. I'm sure this will come as no surprise to anyone but I suck at yoga but guess what? When I take a class, I feel better anyway. I can't fully quiet my thoughts down, but at the end of the hour, I still feel great. The process works in spite of my imperfections.
Additionally, what you manifest will come to you, but quite likely not in the way that you expect. Manifesting isn't going into Starbucks and ordering your coffee drink exactly a certain way and they hand it to you at the end of the counter. You have to allow that the Universe is going to bring you your latte. You will get it. But it may be served to you in a cup meant to hold lemonade. At the gas station. On a Tuesday. And it will delight and surprise you so much more than if it had been handed to you at Starbucks on demand the day you ordered it.
I got my rainbow. In fact I got three of them. But it wasn't in the sky when I was standing there waiting on my back deck, at the logical time to see one. It was at night. And how special is a rainbow at night? It's amazing!
For anyone reading this, I wish you hope and good things to come to you. Wisdom to understand that sometimes things are held from us until we are ready to receive them. And also self love so that you know and understand you are worthy of a good life and good things to happen to you.
I hope this helps someone.
