Any way to repair a xbox that wont read discs anymore? Do retro game stores repair them at all in 2026?

Went through 2 unmodded consoles and then one modded console and the disc drives all failed within a few weeks of use and the modded one only lasted a few days before it wouldn't read discs. Is this worth taking just the modded one to a retro game store to see if they would be able to refurbish or repair it?
