Fragile Lift
I carry my pain on the back of a spider,
Never does it bend, yet heavy is its head,
A creature of fear, no stranger to grief.
I carry my pain on the back of a spider,
Slow to spin its silk, a home lost to me,
An animal of balance, expecting no relief.
I carry my pain on the back of a spider,
For every leg lost, a voyage still continues,
A life of mystery, seeing only what it weaves.
I carry my pain on the back of a spider,
Walking through night, discovering new light,
An unlikely pollinator, not broken by burden.
