Can amps further change sound?

Using the LCD X (2024), modified oratory1990 eq with the EF500.
Listen to rock, post hardcore, metalcore and similar.
Can amps further change sound? Or is it just placebo?
Class A amps or tube amps?

If so, was looking at Cayin HA-3A, Mjolnir 3 or Jotunheim 3. With EF500 as dac.
Any suggestions?
