How do you fix mages bot without ADCs taking over mid again?

I did not think about this intensely, so there might be hughe gaps in my thoughprocess here. The problem with mages bot is that you cant even interact with them. You just sit in lane get beaten down or if your lucky just pushed in 24/7. You cant do anything but sit there and take it for 25 Minutes untill your nexus explodes. But, if you change marksmen in a way, that shifts this dynamic (maybe more base mr or baseregen or whatever) don't marksman move in mid again? The fact that markseman can't deal with mages keeps them out of mid, so if that dynamic is shifted what happends to mid?

Just a short thoughtprocess what do you guys think? Do you even care?
