The subreddit from hell (r/teenagers)

Serious

This subreddit gosh I hate it so much, and I am going to list 5 things I have noted in it before leaving the subreddit.

Systemic Religious Bigotry: The community fosters an environment of intense hostility toward religious individuals. Users routinely post out-of-context content, memes, and statements deliberately designed to target, mock, and spew bigoted hate against faith and deeply held spiritual beliefs.

Covert and Overt Racism: Despite claims of being an inclusive space, the subreddit harbors persistent racism. This prejudice is frequently masked behind "edgy humor," ironic memes, or inside jokes, allowing racially charged discrimination to remain embedded in the community culture.

Pervasive Homophobia: The platform tolerates casual slurs and covert discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. Hostile comments are frequently dismissed as mere "internet banter," which normalizes identity-based hate and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere.

Malicious Propaganda and Rage-Bait: Bad-faith actors and manipulative users exploit the community to spread political and social division. Accounts frequently post out-of-context political content and ask deliberately obvious or bad-faith questions solely to agitate, stir up drama, and rile up impressionable users.

Infiltration by Adult Predators: The most dangerous failure of the subreddit is its complete lack of verification, which allows adult predators and older lurkers to masquerade as minors. These adults exploit the space to target, monitor, and directly message vulnerable teenagers, posing a severe and ongoing safety crisis.

Honestly this sub isn't much better but it's a breath of fresh air and more talkative and nice then that God forsaken subreddit.
