China closes the gap with USA, in AI models

Financial Times: 1. Companies from Silicon Valley to Europe are turning to Chinese AI models as they try to cut the cost of using the technology and reduce reliance on US frontier labs. DoorDash, Siemens and Airbnb are among the groups that have adopted AI tools built in China such as DeepSeek and Z.ai.

My Opinion:The West is no longer technologically superior to the East. As China catches up with USA, and is ahead of Europe in AI. There legal and regulatory framework in liberal democracies does not protect rebels like me, only those who conform. So it would be racist and wrong, to say that so called capitalist democracies like USA, India, and Germany are superior ethically to the Chinese state capitalism.

I just hope that in the race to lead the world, both the east and west, move from human rights propaganda, to actual protection of human rights, for even those with different values and interests. Because money isn't everything. You also need human rights like freedom, privacy, security, and property rights, even for those who are different from the ruling majority.
