My Honest Thoughts on Biopics

Discussion

Most biopic movies fail to be good movies or effective portrayals of real life people.

#1 If it's very entertaining and well made as a movie, it's also very inaccurate.

#2 You can't capture an entire person's life story in 2 hours. Even 3 hours is not enough. Many significant people are removed from the life story portrayed in the movie.

A TV show biopic can work. Although it is difficult. Because you need many episodes and multiple seasons to explore a person's life, their character, and the things that happened to them. The audience needs time to understand why people are who they are and why they are that way.
