Apps Not Updating

Have this 11 a few months now & for whatever reason most of my highly used apps are slow, glitchy or unresponsive due to needing an update. Apps are set to automatically update in settings and have switched back & forth a few times hoping to fix it but no luck.
And it’s not just every few days or weeks, Seems almost daily on some…
Currently running 26.4? Or whatever because I just got the 26.5 update notification
Any help with this greatly appreciated 🙏🏼
