Interacting with pets sometimes doesn't work because of performance?

I've been having issues petting anyones pet for two days now and i've been wondering if performance has an impact on that, Not as in lags tho. On my PC i had no issue with that but now while i'm playing on a laptop i can't even interact with most pets. On mobile everything works fine
