Kids book, gymnastics school

This is a kids book I read in the 90s, a girl wants to start gymnastics, family can’t afford so she makes her own gymnastics school in their house when her parents aren’t home. One of the kids she “teaches” gets injured at one point. And the girl had a stuffed animal (for some reason I’m thinking raccoon) that she talked to and took everywhere.
Can anyone think of this book? It may have been part of a series but I only read this one.
