2024 Honda HRV HVAC Question, Blower Motor Resistor, Blower Motor, or Something Else?

So the past few months my 2024 Honda HRV LX has been experiencing some odd reductions in HVAC power, randomly going up and down from full power to half power to 1/3 power and back to full power etc. Until now it is randomly starting up dead when I turn on the vehicle in the heat (always fun in this heat) and not blowing any air whatsoever. Although when this happens it appears that once the car interior is able to cool off a bit from driving with windows down the AC will suddenly come roaring back to life at some random time 10-15 minutes later so its almost like the interior cabin heat is causing it to malfunction.

Now I am wondering if this would be simply the motor resistor or could it be the blower motor also or is it something I am not even thinking of? It appears like it is a power issue as the fan blows at full speed just fine without a hiccup once it starts blowing it just seems to be an issue of getting that power supplied to it. I am unfortunately just outside the 36,000 mile limit for a warranty repair so this will be on me either way and if I can simply buy the resistor at $85 that would be preferrable to buying both parts at over $200 (or something else even more expensive).
