The souls of countless dead sung in unfathomable decibels, and in it summoned the Jeoseung Sara. But The Entity was waiting…

Hi all!! 😁 Here’s my skin contest entry: **Jeoseung Sara - The Trickster**

This was heaps of fun to make and I hope you like it! 😭🙌🏻 I use photoshop and only have a mouse so pls don’t berate me too hard, that and I’m not an artist. I tried my best. 🙂‍↕️

**Process:**
Laid out all the potential killers available. I really loved the idea of doing a ghost skin for Wraith… but then I realised dredge already did that, so I went further down the list. For some reason The Trickster to me is just not scary… he’s like a hot Asian guy and his skins range from ab showing uh fashion to uh… furry… there’s no in between. And I for one do not find furries scary OKAY! Don’t at me. 😭 So I thought to myself, let’s try and make something scary but also uh, cool?

So I went and did quite a bit of research, found out he is South Korean and went down a rabbit hole of folklore. At one point I was going to do some Gwisin creature thing… but then I saw the Jeoseung Sara and thought a South Korean Grim Reaper skin would be EPIC. But ya know… a bit tainted by The Fog. 👀🙌🏻 Sadly this is when I also saw the KPOP demon hunter inspo was also this… but I had committed!! And… I had already drawn the hat and some of the teeth at this point. 😆 So off I went on a finger numbing journey with my trusty mouse and my copy of photoshop elements 2026. I really tried to maintain closer to the source material than anything else but I really got a bit stumped on his throwing weapon. Tried bones and even the talismans, even looked at some shaman Korean weapons… sadly this kept leading me back to KPOP demon hunters and that one girl with the throwing knives 😒 RIP… in the end I went back to a red glowy knife. It’s a shame I didn’t do Japanese as I really wanted a shikigami paper spirit as his throwing weapon but… didn’t want to mix sources… when he’s clearly Korean haha 😛 ANYWAYS, enough of me rambling…
Side note… I don’t speak Korean so I hope the talisman symbols are relevant and not like… a dirty word, would be a major flip! HAHA 👁️👄👁️
SIDENOTE I was disgusted with myself when drawing the dangly fingers on his hat. I blame Clown for my introduction to the thought.
