Should I play Xenoblade Chronicles switch 2 edition?

Just wondering if the switch 2 edition of Xenoblade Chronicles that released recently is a good remaster as ive been interested in the series but have never played any of the games. Also in general would you say this is a good game for someone pretty new to rpgs? I would probably end up picking up the physical copy later this month if it's the definitive way to play it.
