CoQ10 - mitochondrial support
After years of clinical depression and anxiety disorder, the brain is in a sorry state-with oxidized receptors, damaged axons and dendrites, and other consequences of neuroinflammation triggered by depression, not to mention damaged and weakened mitochondria
.Exercise-regular daily physical activity-is one thing we know has a proven effect. Diet plays a role, too; I avoid the keto diet because it has demonstrably harmful effects on the gut microbiome(at least a standard ketogenic diet), opting instead for an anti-inflammatory Mediterranean diet (or rather, a Mediterranean style of eating). Multi-day fasting to trigger autophagy is another method that demonstrably works.
As for supplements, I’d like to know if CoQ10 has any noteworthy effect, or if it’s just like other run-of-the-mill supplements-where I wouldn't feel anything or the effect would be negligible. I’ve also considered methylene blue, but enzyme testing is recommended
before taking it.
