7 months in school, it’s starting to seem like welding will just be another 9-5

Someone please tell me I’m not wasting my time, I had high hopes for travel welding, but now I have a child on the way and everything else just seems like I will be a shop mule, I’ve honestly made more money driving forklift than what some of these places are offering an hour and most of those places want 50 to 60 hours from you a week, I’m probably just gonna end up getting a CDL and so make money to contract idk man someone just tell me I’m tripping….
