Confessed my feelings, and it went terribly wrong

A little over a month ago I wrote a post on a subreddit asking how would men feel after a woman confesses her feelings for them. Everyone answered they’d feel flattered, and that I should go for it but be prepared for a rejection.
I (23F) did go for it, and told the guy (23M) I’ve had a crush on him for months. I told him straight up, face to face, before we went different ways after spending the afternoon together.
He smiled and hugged me. But then nothing. Didn’t say he likes me back, but he didn’t say he doesn’t either. There has just been complete radio silence from him for three days.
I keep replaying that moment in my mind and as more time passes the more embarrass I get and the more I regret telling him.
I don’t know what to do or what to think.
