480p over VGA on pal crt tv (Wii/gamecube/xbox)
Hey people, looking for some help as I can’t quite figure this out .
- I live in New Zealand and have a Pal Panasonic TX-68P100Z (100hz) 29” crt tv . It has an RGB 31.5khz vga input in the front which I believe will allow it to do do 480p.
I have a Wii , original Xbox and Ps2 I’d like to run at 480p instead of 480i.
(Everything is Pal consoles)
Doesn’t seem to do 480p via component cables set to HDTV on my pal Xbox 360 .
Need to get some Wii or GameCube component cables to also try this incase it’s just a Xbox thing?
Looking through the manual it might just be the vga that can output 480p , though seems strange it wouldn’t also do it over component ..
Question is if I get a YPBRPRB to vga converter from wakabavideo , would I just run the Wii component cables into this and run a male to male vga lead from the converter to the tv ? Just wanted to check before I outlay the money to do so .
