Fainted when used portacath

Patient

Just wanted to see if anyone knows what was wrong with me today. The nurse blames the panic attack but it wasn't. I was calm and happy, I had plenty of food this morning too.

As soon as she connected the fluids into my portacath and I felt a gush of cold water, I felt extremely light headed and fainted. They have checked the stats and they were fine. Even did several prick tests.

I was also throwing up a lot so they had to give me some anti sickness medication.

Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience and will it get better? Or will I be fainting every time.

Thank you
